In 2000, after spending 15 years working for the family tree surgery business Patrick Watts decided to move into hire and sales of arboricultural equipment. The new company became a Timberwolf dealer and then developed the tracked range of Timberwolf machines which it continued to sell for the next few years. In 2003 the company brought out it’s first stump grinder which was designed after using American machines for several years. ‘The problem with the American machines is that they are either too large to get into back gardens or too small to grind decent size stumps’

The Predator range of machinery is designed from scratch with the main intention to have as much horsepower on a machine that can get through the tightest gap.

For several years the Predator machines were assembled in its factory in Shropshire with components that were supplied by other companies. This proved to be difficult to control quality whilst still keeping tight scheduled deliveries. It was also hard to stay competitive. Now we have hi-tech production facility in the Czech Republic where everything is made and assembled in house. The quality is much better, lead time is shorter and we find that we are more competitive.
